Here are some pics from Annihilation by Marvel. The artist is Andrea Di Vito. Annihilation! big word for just a comic book. this comic series tries to portray some of the intergalactic characters that marvel has.
here you can see a lot of characters and all of them are intergalactic. they are not just bound to earth or any other planets. there you can see ronan, silver surfer, skrull, a member of the nova corps etc. all of these people have a serious look on their faces and it looks like they mean business. from the name of the comic book, it is easy to understand that something catastrophic is going to happen to the entire universe.
here you can see that the galactic villain aptly name, galactus is fighting another thing that looks like it is the same size of galactus. if you know the size of galactus then you would easily understand that why this is a huge thing. that is because galactus is actually larger in size when ompared to planets and he is even bigger than our own planet earth.
here we can see that galactus has fallen down on somewhere or something. considering his size, we can only assume how big the thing or the place is to where he has fallen onto. it also looks like a huge building has broken down due to his fall. smoke is coming out of his head. this goes on to indicate that whatever or whoever he was fighting in the previous picture has successfully managed to land a blow on the mighty galactus himself.
here we can see that not only one but two huge cosmic and galactic beings are standing on both sides of galactus. galactus has fallen down. which means that he was defeated by these cosmic beings. the choice for picking galactus in the second fantastic four movie(the one where captain america used to be the human torch) was really peculiar. in that movie, galactus never took the form of a large humanoid robot that the comic book readers are much more accustomed to and love. instead, he was portrayed to be a huge gas cloud that just destroys planets. not devour actually destroy.
