Runaways - 4

Here are some more pics from the comic series Runaways. The artist is Sara Pichelli. This comic series involves a group of super powered children. This is set in the marvel universe so the big marvel superheroes make slight appearances during some issues of this series, but the main focus is the children and their parents.

so, what do you do when you find out that your parents are a group of super villains who are involved in pretty shady stuff. (most children consider their parents to be villains at some stage of their teenage years).  these children find it out and they runaway. hence the aptly titled name of this series. all of the children have some sort of superpower or another. however out of this small group of children, who have such a great bonding and who want to good and fight against evil and theiir evil parents, there is a bad egg, a snitch.

here we can see a little kid angrily punching a wall or the inside of a cave and it is shattering with only the punch of this small child. this indicates that either the child has some form of super strength ability or whatever that broke down is really fragile. the former option is more likely possible because this is a comic book series about children with super powers. we can also see that the eye color has turned completely purple, that means that whenever this particular child get angry the eye color of the person turns into purple or some sort of different color.

here we can see that a girl has a staff coming out of her body and she also has a small knife in her hand. this clearly means that the person has some sort of magical powers and she needs to draw her own blood to get the staff out of her body. this also indicates that they are in a dire situation, otherwise a person would never harm themselves just for a magical power boost.

here we can see some evil looking people having a toast for something. they are actually the parents of the little rag tag group of super powered children who named themselves to be the runaways. their parents are actually evil and their style of clothing also indicates it to be true.  the couple standing in the back seem to have glowing purple eyes. this goes on to indicate that they are the parents of the little child with the glowy eyes and super strength.

Transmetropolitan - 4

Here are some more pics from Transmetropolitan. The artist is Darick Robertson. The writer is Warren Ellis. This is a weird one. The author has imagined a freaky world where almost everything is exaggerated.

This is the main character in this whacky series. the name of this character is Spider Jerusalem. Yeah, even the name of this character is weird. he is actually a journalist. his character was inspired by Hunter S. Thompson. he abuses a lot of drugs in this series. so, although it is a comic book series, it is not really suitable for little children. we can see that spider is just walking inside what is presumed to be his office. after seeing him, all of his coworkers are running away from him. this goes on to show that everyone is either afraid of him or they just hate him.

here we can see that the main protagonist of this comic series is just sitting inside a burning room.in the background, there are a lot of news channels running on and he seems to have an evil smile on his face. in one hand he has a cigarette and with the other hand, he is petting and stroking his pet cat. his pet cat is actually a two headed cat. as i said before, everything is over the top in this comic book series. his cat also likes to smoke cigarettes. he actually adopted the cat from the streets.

here we can see a large hall titled meany hall. that means that there is or was a famous person named or with the surname of meany. we can also see that it seems like a festive season over there. a lot of balloons are flying and the flag of the united states of america. if you look carefully, then you can see that a banner says elect callahan. that means that the looks of this hall is so festive is because that there is election season going on. this also means that there is a powerful politician with the surname Callahan. Callahan might just be the main antagonist of this entire series.

here again we can see the main character Spider Jerusalem. if you look properly, you can notice a not so small tattoo of a spider on his head. is it his head or forehead? it can be confusing for the bald guys, where does the forehead end and the head begins? anyways, he is getting another cigarette from his packet. he does not have an amusing look on his face. that means he is angry at something or someone. he also has a special green and red pair of glass.

Books of Magic - 5

Here are some more pics from the comic Books of Magic. It is illustrated by various artists throughout the four issues.

This comic series contains all of the magical characters that use magical powers in the DC and its gritty version of vertigo universe. Here, a normal kid without any magical powers comes across some of the most powerful wizards and magic users and also magic users. he goes on through different timelines, different dimension and different planets and universes. It is not an easy read for everyone and not suitable for casual comic book readers.

Essex County - 5

Here are some more pics from the comic Essex County by Jeff Lemire. It is both written and illustrated by Jeff Lemire. the stories are actually grounded by reality and there is nothing too extraordinary. Frankly, the stories can get a little bit depressing at times.

In this picture we can see that a little kid, probably a boy, is walking alongside some fences and some electric posts. it also seems like the little boy has a cape flying on his shoulder. the ground seems like it is covered in snow and it also seems like it is snowing pretty heavily while the child is walking along the path. this means that the child either has to go to the place he is going at that particular time. but, however, if it was urgent, the child would have been seen running along the path, but from the footsteps it seems like this particular child was not running at all. so, it kind of goes on to indicate that this little child does not care about his health and if it is raining or snowing or not.

this is a simple pictures of a wheat field. this indicates that the particular small story in this comic short revolves around a farmer of some sort.again, nothing too out of the ordinary over here.

we can see a church in this particular picture. there are trees alongside the church. if we observe the trees properly, we can see that the leaves of the tree have fallen a lot and only a handful of leaves can be seen on the trees, this further goes on to confirm that the weather is not a suitable weather for leaves to grow on trees. a car can be seen in the backside of the church.

here we can see that the kid who was wearing a superhero cape is busy doing some really mundane tasks. this goes on to show the harshness of life. you might have the urges to become a superhero inside your heart, but, you are bound by your circumstances and the reality and the upbringing of your life. the person that wants to be a hero has to work on farms and carry bags of seeds just to make ends meet.

the kid also seems to have a small mask on his face. he is still working but he has his cape and mask with him. in this exact particular picture, we can see that the little boy is looking to the sun setting on the horizon. the sun is going to set behind the farm. the tiny little superhero has to go to study for his school and go to sleep. life can be mundane from time to time, it is actually up to us to make our life as interesting as we can possibly make it to be.

Supercrooks - 3

Here are some more pics from the comic Supercrooks by Mark Millar. The artist is Lenin Yu. This is another action filled Mark Millar comic. if you have seen the kingsman movies then you would know what kind of stories he writes. just from the title of the comic series we can instantly know that this series introduces a group of crooks or thieves who have some sort or another types of superpowers.

here we can see a person with silenced hand guns in both of his hands. he is dressed like he is about to go in somewhere for a big heist. he has glasses on, which means that either they are infrared glasses that can help a person see in the dark or he is partially blind and he cannot see properly without the help of external glasses. although, the former option is much more viable since he is a crook with super powers or at least super intelligence.

here we can see a huge mansion in the background and some of the people are walking towards the mansion. this kind of indicates that whatever huge heist that will be going on will be going on in this exact particular house. one of the people that is walking towards the mansion seems to have two huge suitcases in both of his or her hands. although this might seem to indicate that there is something of value inside there, it might also mean that the things that will be helpful for a heist is actually in there. although that possibility is pretty much unlikely because we can see a guard outside the mansion and htey would get caught if they were trying to get things inside the mansion that would be helpful in a possible heist. this can also mean that the cases have something really valuable that the crooks with super powers will be coming to steal ion the first place.

now in this panel, we can clearly see that the crooks or thieves or robbers with super powers are actually getting in the mansion and the guard is completely incapacitated in the ground.this clearly indicates that the heist is actually going to start at the point.

another panel where we can see that the crooks are going steadily towards the insides of the mansion. they seem to have really goofy clothing that they are wearing for the heist. in this particular comics series, in this heist, they are actually stealing something from a really powerful character and they are afraid of getting caught. that is why they are wearing these stupid costumes. the costumes are actually trade marks of a different group of criminals and they are actually dressed like that to frame that other group for the crime so that they do not get caught and the suspicion is diverted towards that other group..

her we can see the menacing antagonistic character whose house the crooks with super powers actually went to steal from. this person has a particularly menacing look and he also has a really powerful psychic ability. there are other characters that we can see in this panel as well.
