Civil War - 7

Here are some more pics from the comic version of Marvel's Civil War. The artist is Steve McNiven.

By this time, i hope everyone currently visiting this page has seen the movie that was inspired by this story. and, if you are a regular comic book reader then you already know that the movies adapted from the comic books are almost never completely faithful to the source material itself. this is due to various issues like studio conflicts, budget constraints etc. especially in these types of comics, characters of all types come together to fight. although, the movie was extraordinary in its own way, the story in the comic series is different and even if you have seen the movie first, reading the comic series that inspired such a great movie would not be a bad choice at hand.

captain america dead
at the end of the comic series, unlike the movie where captain america just walked away, captain america surrendered himself to the authorities and while he was being prosecuted and being taken to the appropriate places, he was shot by a sleeper agent and that is where captain america died.

now you know why comic book readers are always concerned about the well-being of good old captain America.

civil war comics
as is stated earlier, in a comic story of such a large scale, characters never introduced to the general movie going audiences make appearances. as we can see in this picture, namor has come to fight along in this civil war. we can also see a glimpse of his extraordinary power. however, namor has not been introduce nor has been mentioned in the previous canon marvel story lines. what would happen if suddenly characters like them came to fight in the movies, it would certainly create a lot of confusion among the moviegoers.

civil war thor
here we can see thor charging along other lesser known heroes and heroines behind him covering his back. thor is actually in the side of iron man in this comic story. however, in the movie civil war, thor was completely absent as he was busy with the events of ragnarok.  here in this picture we can see that lightning has struck his hammer.

However, in the comic version of this story, this particular Thor has a secret. The secret will be revealed to you pretty soon.

marvel civil war
The secret is pretty close to be revealed. again we can see an angry guy wielding Thor's mighty hammer mjolnir. The casual moviegoer will not have any idea about who is this guy and why does he seem so angry.

This actually is another one of the gods present in the marvel universe.

thor dead

The lesser god has struck down the god of thunder and we can easily see the secret that i told you guys about this Thor in this particular story line. we can see the the thor is actually a robot.

Yes, it was a robot. This robot was constructed by Reed Richards. That is why it was obeying every command given by mr fantastic himself. Before striking the the mechanical Thor, he said something along the line of, thou art not my god or thou art not my thor. the actual thor, god of thunder, was actually dead in the comic series before the events of civil war took place in the marvel universe.

Yeah, comic can be weird.
