Here are some more pics from the comic version of Age of Ultron. Various artists have collaborated in this series, such as, Bryan Hitch and Brandon Peterson.
Unlike the movie with the same name, this comic series is actually pretty weird. as weird as superhero comic stories can go.
This story contains various alternate timelines, time traveling, killing someone in the past to change the present conditions and everything in between.
here we can see ultron looking as menacing as he can be. this picture is actually from the time and place when his consciusness actually came to the current reality. whatever that current reality would be.in the background you can see that he has burnt down everything behind him, resonating with the theme of this story.
here you can see ant-man flying along the city.you might think what would be the significance of a character like ant-man be in such a large story line like age of ultron.
unlike the movie age of ultron, where tony stark aka iron man had created ultron, in comics, hank pymm, aka ant man had created ultron himself. and ultron is actually an old character. ant man has been portrayed as a comic relief in the movies, but, in comic books the character is portrayed as a genius who can match his intelligence with the best of all marvel universe.
here in this picture, we can see that a yellow car, might be a taxi might not be a taxi, is going really fast along the traffic.this can mean something like that a very important character in the story is in that exact car. this means that the power of the person does not include something like super speed or flying.. or, it can also mean that the person in this car does not have any power at all.
here we can see that someone has collected all the pictures of all the characters with superpowers or important significance on a wall. this gesture always has an eerie implication. this means that the person collecting all the pictures is tracing everyone whose pictures he or she has collected. or they are simply trying to kill all of the characters and are keeping a count or a tally. the picture that is in the close-up is actually that of the lesser know marvel character moo-knight. moon-knight is actually the lesser know marvel version of batman. he is not very well know among the comic reading community. but, those people who have actually read the moon knight character seem to love him.
here we can see the soldiers of the ultron army. in the movie, we actually had a glimpse of this thing. but, we didn't really see any regime of ultron to consider it as an age of ultron. on the contrary, in the comic books, ultron had taken over and he has had been ruling over the world for a long ime. he also had eradicated a lot of heroes of the world. the heroes had to use time travel to stope the age of ultron from beginning in the first place. that was not done in the movies in the first place.
